Educational Visits to Ventnor Botanic Garden

How To Book

Fill out a Booking Request Form.

Return the completed form to education@botanic.co.uk.

Admission Price for Educational Visits is a flat rate £4.50 per person (teachers & students) with a cap of £150

Those schools with  budget constraints so severe that would preculde  a visit to the Garden, may apply for a VBG Bursary  contribution to enable a VBG visit for their students.

£25 Climate change and bespoke talks (additional cost)

N.B.Students remain the responsibility of their own leader, and should be supervised at all times on site.

Risk Assessment

Teachers and School staff will need to familiarise themselves with the Risk Assessment Form when making a booking. This form will then need to be completed, signed and returned before the Educational Visit can be confirmed.

Teacher Pre–Visit                                            

A free teacher pre-visit inspection is offered. Contact us via education@botanic.co.uk or (01983) 855397.

Accessibility

The Garden is accessible for wheelchairs in most areas, however owing to the nature of the site there are steep paths that may not be suitable for all wheelchair users and their helpers. Please advise us of any details when making a booking.

First Aid

Teaching staff will carry first aid kits with them at all times.

Inclement Weather

Please contact the Ventnor Botanic Garden in the event of severe weather conditions,  before leaving your school.
